Working face and plating coverage
When specifying a roller, give the overall length and the working face length separately. Mark where the chrome plating should start and end, particularly if only part of the roller face requires plating.
Roller body and shaft ends
HallMark can customize the roller diameter, wall thickness and shaft end geometry to suit the existing equipment. For a replacement roller, include dimensions for both shaft ends so we can check the mounting details before machining.
Surface finish
Specify the finish required on the working face. HallMark machines the roller body and shafts, applies chrome to the designated area and finishes the working surface to the agreed specification.

HallMark manufactures impregnation and coating equipment as well as the rollers used in these lines. When reviewing a replacement, we check two things together: how the shaft ends fit the machine and which part of the roller face meters the resin. These details determine the dimensions and plating coverage specified on the manufacturing drawing.
You can start with an original equipment drawing, a roller sample or measurements from the existing roller. Final inspection follows the agreed specification and can cover roller dimensions, radial runout, working surface condition and chrome plating quality.
Can HallMark supply a replacement roller for another brand of impregnation line?
Yes. Send the original roller drawing or a sample for review. If neither is available, send measured dimensions and photos of both shaft ends. HallMark can then identify which details still need to be confirmed.
Can I specify chrome plating on only part of the roller face?
Yes. Mark the start and end of the plated area on the drawing and specify the required coating thickness. This is particularly important when the working face is shorter than the roller body.
Is a ceramic-coated metering roller available?
Yes. HallMark also offers a ceramic-coated option with a minimum coating thickness of 0.20 mm. Identify the required coating in your inquiry so the quotation matches your specification.
What does chrome plating add to the working surface?
Chrome plating provides a wear-resistant working surface and can improve corrosion resistance. Share the resin type and operating conditions when specifying the finish.
What is the lead time, and can HallMark arrange international delivery?
